THE PROBLEM

Being exposed to friends and family who were differently abled, I realised the lack of opportunities and motivation from a very young age. Eventually after doing some research, an article released in 2019 said more than 70% of differently abled people in India are not employed.

I identified 2 main problems:

1. The lack of available resources to learn skills required for a job.

2. The lack of accessibility of technology that can help differently abled people find jobs.

Additional problems are :

1. A Vicious Cycle Of Poverty

• 2.7% of the total population of India are differently abled.

• 69% of these live in rural areas & have low level of education.

• Not providing them with an easier way to find & apply for jobs keeps them in the vicious cycle of poverty.

2. Problems with Existing Job Portals

• Are not PwD friendly

• Are difficult to access by PwDs Detailed form filling is required Complicated instructions

• Difficult for PwD's to grasp information

THE SOLUTION

I created a voiced based app using conversational AI technology. This made finding jobs for differently abled people easier as it is voice based or text based, depending on the disability type. It additionally helps the user with easy resume building, which is then connected to different job portals.

Other than that, workshops were also conducted for skill building, teaching differently abled students excel, basic computing and other concepts required for a job.

• A single place for companies to post only jobs for PwDs.

• Jobs other than for the PwDs are not allowed to be published here.

• Helps companies with their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities.
